Collaboration is the foundation of our inspiration. With a deep passion for music and curating the soundtrack to your life, our focus is in collaborating with you and your musical identity. We hand-craft our set for your event by getting a glimpse into what resonates with you musically.
How we collaborate: It’s fun! Take some time on Spotify or your streaming platform of choice, and whilst enjoying your favorite beverage, compile a playlist of some of the music/vibe you envision for your event. Or whenever you hear a song somewhere, make a note in your phone or write it down, Shazam it! The method doesn’t matter, what ever works best for you. Including songs and vibes you do not want us to play is also very helpful! This enables us to focus on the songs that mean the most to you, and the vibe/energy you are most trying to create. We then hand-craft our set in a way that allows for spontaneity and execution of your vision, seamlessly. Being open format DJs means we’re able to mix any and everything together, in key, on beat, different genres, all cohesively, avoiding cliché pitfalls that make a party stale.

What kinds of events do you DJ?
Weddings, hi-fi lounges, clubs, art openings, corporate events, birthday parties, loft parties, film premieres, after-parties, pool parties, in-store brand events…
What is your DJ style?
Our DJ style is dependent on the event, typically open-format, which means we mix a plethora of genres in tandem with the clients musical tastes and vision for their event. Check out the music section on our home page!
Do you MC?
We are minimalist MCs. As in we MC only when needed, like for announcements and pertinent info, like someone lost a wallet. A little hype can be great, but we are here to facilitate the experience musically, not take it over with hi-energy MC performances.
What is your attire?
We dress to impress on par with the vibe of event and location. We are not loud and flashy, rather refined and classy.
Do you travel for events?
Yes! Currently Marko’s territory is NY, NJ, DE, PA, MD and has traveled all over the country for events. Tari’s territory is Colorado & the world! Anything and everything is possible, we go where the party is!
What do you do in case of emergency?
Trademarq Events has a built-in back-up in that we are connected to an endless array of DJ’s that are industry vets, equally as talented, and a call away. So in the event that the unthinkable should happen, rest assured your event will most certainly go off without a hitch.
We test our gear regularly, but we also have back-up equipment on hand so that if something malfunctions, it can be swapped out quickly.
Another DJ quoted me $750 and he’s including uplighting. What’s the difference between him/her and Trademarq Events?
It is certain that one can find a cheaper DJ or call on a friend that makes great playlists to pull off your party…however, a DJ’s price point is based on their skill, experience, ability, creativity, reputation and client satisfaction. Budget DJs are typically hobbyists and aren’t equipped with the experience, skill level, sound equipment, or professionalism that a DJ with decades under their belt will possess. We are lucky enough to be full-time DJs which enables us the time and freedom to hone in on your event to curate it perfectly to your vision. In short, ya get what cha pay for. 😉
Do you provide your own sound system?
Yes! – We utilize two QSC K12 loud speakers and one QSC KS112 subwoofer for most events. If we need more power we bring it! 🙌
We typically DJ with either Serato or Traktor using Pioneer controllers.
Is your pricing all-inclusive / what is included in your pricing?
Included in our base rate is DJ/MC services, 4 performance hours, the QSC sound system for dancing, setup and tear-down times of all equipment, tax, travel within applicable states, and insurance. We try to keep things as straightforward as possible, there are no hidden fees. The only additional fees would be for travel, additional hours, sound systems, or services.
Deposit / Payment Schedule?
The deposit is half of the total balance and is due (along with a signed contract) in order to reserve the date. The final payment is due one month prior to the event date.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes and yes! We are licensed and can provide proof of insurance (or add your venue as additional insured) upon request.
