He got his start in music mixing and arrangement by assisting his father, Olympian figure skater Tommy Litz, with cutting music for skating routines. That early experience eventually led him into DJ’ing in 1993, where he quickly gained momentum, playing across the U.S. and internationally in Canada, Japan and Europe. He’s held residencies and guest spots at legendary East Coast clubs including Shelter, Limelight, Tunnel, Axis and Avalon, playing along side DJ greats such as Mark Farina, Armand Van Helden and Louie Vega. Holding it down in every type of room from intimate gatherings to crowds of thousands.
While obtaining a business degree from Northeastern University, Tari began working at the iconic dance music shop, Satellite Records. After 6 years, he left his manager's position to become the house music buyer at Boston Beat: Boston's first dance music record store.
Tari currently works for the New York based record label, Big Crown as well as the established record pressing plant, Echo Base. He is also the co-founder of Bananza Recordings. With his cousin Marko Militano, he formed the production duo Trademarq, releasing music on renowned labels such as Classic Music Company, OM Records and Nervous. Their work has been remixed by house legends including Derrick Carter, JT Donaldson and Frankie Knuckles.
Today, he brings that same level of taste and professionalism to private events—blending soul, disco, house, hip-hop and modern dance music into one-of-a-kind celebrations that reflect each couple’s unique vibe.

His musical journey began as a drummer playing in several bands during the late 80’s and early 90’s. Inspired by New York City's hardcore and punk scene, attending legendary venues like CBGB, Bond Street and Wetlands.
